Easter Monday. Time for the annual watering of the girls. Was this the origin of the wet T-shirt contest?


In Hungary, there is an Easter tradition called Húsvéti Locsolás, which translates to Easter sprinkling.

Young men visit girls' homes on Easter Monday and soak them with water. In return the boys get painted eggs, chocolates, candy, Hungarian pastries, and perhaps a kiss.

In the city, the tradition has changed and men now spritz the girls with perfume instead.
