Florida man sentenced to 15 years for attempting to break into jail.
25-year-old Sylvester Jiles tried to climb a 12-foot fence at the Brevard County Detention Center after he was released on probation.
Earlier, he had begged jail officials to take him back into custody because he feared retaliation from family members of his victim.
He was caught breaking in and hospitalized with severe cuts from the barbed wire.
