Study shows men are more attracted to women wearing red.


Red and Romantic Behavior in Men Viewing Women by Daniela Niesta Kayser, Andrew J. Elliot, Roger Feltman, was published in the European Journal of Social Psychology.

Researchers measured the sexual attraction behavior of men to photographs of women under a variety of color presentations. Half the participants looked at a version in which she wore a red shirt while to the remaining half were shown the photo of the exact same women photoshopped to show a green shirt.

Tthe men were asked to select five questions from a series of 24, to ask the woman in the photo. The queries ranged from 'Where are you from?' to 'How could a guy get your attention at a bar?'

The men were inclined to ask the woman in “red’ more intimate and leading questions. In a similar study, men sat closer when they expected a woman in red to enter the room.
