Spain's UGT union leader calls on grandparents to not babysit for their kids during today's general strike.
Manuel Pastrana, Secretary General of the UGT-A, called on grandparents to take a day of rest on September 29.
The suggestion reflects the important role of grandparents play in looking after children in Spain.
Participating in the strike would considered be a service to their country.
But they are cautioned not to abuse or neglect the children in their care.
