Vibration harvesting AA batteries are powered by shaking. Hmmm.


A Japanese electronics firm has developed a vibration-harvesting generator that could replace standard AA batteries.

The Vibration Energy Cell batteries deliver power after a vigorous shake.

The mechanism works similarly to a dynamo, a few shakes provides the energy to power devices that don't require a lot of power.

Currently the cells are still in the trial phase.
